CURRENT OF SONGS, JOKES, CATCHING LAUGHTER…
This joyful, optimistic performance is unusual in many aspects. It is based not on a tradition play. Its basis is a chain of songs, humoristic monologues, and dialogues. There are some moments of improvisation, when the actor steps down from the stage in the hall and starts talking with the audience like with old friends. Even the place of playing is unusual and interesting. This performance is running in the Synagogue Actors’ Temple Theater where spiritual values come together with dramaturgical creativity.
The gifted actors James Dybas, Joy Franz, Jay Stuart, and Cheryl Stern play with consummate skill. The talented director of this performance, Saul Ilson, is a many-sided personality, as composer and poet he is author of all music and poetry for this play.
